SOPHIE LAMB

Clinic owner, Sports Therapist (MSc)

Hi, I’m Sophie,

I have been providing Sports Therapy treatments in and around Sunderland for over 9 years. In this time I have worked both mobile and in a clinic. I have also worked with multiple sports clubs over the years but now reside in private practice with my own clinic space.

When I finished my Sports Development degree back in 2014 I continued to study further and gained level 3 and level 4 Sports massage qualifications. From this I set up my own sports massage business and my passion grew for helping people overcome injuries and relieving people of pain. I was then spurred on to improve my knowledge further and so I went back to Teesside University in 2018 to study a Masters degree in Sports Rehabilitation. During this time, I worked with Hartlepool United Football Club alongside their first team Sports Therapist.

My passion is to get you OUT of pain, by understanding how the body moves and the connection of muscle to movement. I work with the body as a whole and not just where you feel your pain. My aim is to relieve you of pain and improve your mobility with my knowledge of anatomy, physiology and the musckuloskeletal system.

Sophie works Monday, Thursday & Friday and provides Sports Therapy, Sports and Pregnancy Massage, Manual Lymphatic Drainage Massage and Acupuncture.

Lucy King

Reflexologist

I remember as a little girl, setting up a bowl of warm water and offering close family members a foot soak and massage, so I suppose you could say that being a therapist has always been a part of who I am!

After completing a Foundation degree in Complementary Therapies at New College Durham back in 2008, I was very lucky to land my first role as a Therapist within a drug and alcohol service, offering treatments to clients and their families who were dealing with the day to day struggles of addiction. For the last 3 years I have been working part time as a Complementary Therapist within the NHS Palliative Care setting, which is a real privilege and again has allowed me to develop an array of new skills and training.

I hold a Level 3 Diploma in Reflexology (VTCT) and have completed further training with the fantastic Sally Earlam in Maternity Reflexology. This allows me to incorporate additional techniques for women on their individual pregnancy journey.

As well as being a full member of The Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT) I am also a full member of the Association of Reproductive Reflexologists (ARR) after completing Reproflexology training with the very experienced Barbara Scott at Seren NAtural Fertility.

Lucy is available Tuesdays 11-7 and offers Standard Reflexology, Pregnancy Reflexology, Fertility Reflexology and Menopause Reflexology.

Senior Physiotherapist. BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy

I graduated with a First Class Honours degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Ulster in 2011. I worked in the NHS and also completed at MPhil researching the impact of fatigue in Fibromyalgia. This process started my passion for holistic and empathetic based Physiotherapy approaches and techniques. I trained in acupuncture and also started building me experience in other holistic therapies and yoga. I have now worked in MKS Physiotherapy for over 11 years.

After moving back home to the North East with Hubby (Pete, above) in tow, I worked in a local Hospice before starting my family.

I am passionate about holistic empathetic care, where each client is treated as a whole and not just as a condition. I work not only to improve outcomes in specific conditions but also to improve overall well-being both physically and mentally.

Debs is available on Saturday mornings 9-1 and offers Physiotherapy and Sports Massage.
